This Friday, March 8th, Royal Republic’s resident drum monster Per Andreasson tweeted that something was happening at midnight and my brain flew into a frenzy the likes of which hadn’t been seen or replicated since Royal Republic dropped their absolutely stellar third studio album Weekend Man back in February 2016. Royal Republic recently postponed a UK tour in order to finish work on their then-unnamed fourth studio album and I was a little peeved, but upon hearing the first fruit of the band’s labour, I am ready to forgive!
